It’s not easy visiting a new church for the first time. Sometimes it is like a non-member visiting a country club.  You probably have a number of these questions:

  • Do I belong here?
  • Will the people be unfriendly, or too friendly?
  • Will it be easy to leave if I don’t enjoy it?
  • Will they ask me for money?
  • Will my kids enjoy it?
  • How should I dress?

Women's Retreat

Some people are a joy to love, some are difficult to love, and we all have to deal with some people who are humanly impossible to love. In all those relationships one truth endures: We will never be able to love others well until we have been loved well. And only God can ultimately give us the complete love we so desperately need.

"A Cross Training Facility" 

Sequoia’s vision is that Sequoia Community Church and the Sequoia Recreation Centre would be a ‘Cross-Training' Facility; a place to meet the needs of the total person; spiritual, emotional, and physical. The centre would actively be involved in our community, offering recreational activities, programs and seminars. It would seek to be a place where people can discover how to live healthy, vibrant and abundant lives.

‘Anyone who calls on the Lord will be saved. But before people can ask the Lord for help, they must believe in him, and before they can believe in him, they must hear about him; and for them to hear about the Lord, someone must tell them’. (Romans 10:13-14)
